Summer is in full swing in Washington. If you are lucky enough to have a DC office space at our Metro location, then your DC meeting space is just minutes away from hot summer activities! You can host an afternoon board meeting in your reserved Washington DC meetings room, then walk down to the National Mall for movie night.
Washington DC summer activities:
- Screen on the Green - The National Mall hosts a movie every Monday night during the summer. Grab a blanket, some snacks and wine, your closest friends, and kick back on the lawn to enjoy a film on the big screen. Movies start between 8:30-9pm, and you can check out the schedule by clicking on the link above. You might want to get there around 6 to claim a good spot.
- P.O.V. Roof Terrace at W Washington D.C. – This rooftop restaurant offers spectacular views of the White House and the Washington Monument. Some people have even said that you can spot the snipers on top of the White House! The rooftop is open April through October, which are perfect outdoor months for you to watch the sunset blanket the city as it comes alive for the night.
- Jazz! The Nordic Jazz Festival is June 22 – 30 and hosted by Twins Jazz, a live jazz music venue that hosts a variety of jazz artists. Check out their website (link above) and make plans to hear some great music over the next few months.
- Wolf Trap – Cheap lawn tickets and BYOB mean that you can enjoy a concert on the cheap. It’s a performing arts venue in the middle of a national park, so you can't really do better when it comes to beautiful surroundings. Bring your best wine and cheese, lounge on the lawn, and enjoy the show. Just don’t forget the bug spray.
