Listen up fellow Fairfaxers – the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority presents a lot of good reasons as to why Fairfax County is one of the world’s leading business locations. 26 firms (mostly technology and professional services) in this county are on 2011 Inc. Magazine’s list of 500 fastest growing companies. That is a total larger than any other county and 46 states!
Fairfax County is a great place for young start ups looking to rapidly expand. This is due to a collection of savvy entrepreneurship, a highly skilled workforce and diverse economic base all concentrated in one locale. On a larger scale, the Washington region reported the fourth largest GDP in the nation and the third fastest growth among metro areas in 2010. This area was also ranked first when it comes to potential job creation. Fairfax County is an economically healthy hotbed churning with potential.
