April brings a huge milestone to Metro Offices. This month marks 22 years of providing innovative workplace solutions to thousands of businesses in the DC area.
Kathlene Buchanan, President of Metro Offices, founded the company in 1989, and is still known today as one of the premier women-owned businesses in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. She opened the first center in Northern Virginia after forecasting the need for serviced office space and enhanced the Business Center concept by recognizing the need for well trained, highly motivated customer service professionals.
Since that time, Metro Offices has been a leading operator of business centers in the Metro DC area. Our strategically located centers offer a full range of office solutions to entrepreneurs, government contractors, as well as regional, national, and international companies. Our experienced team is committed to providing customized personal service and always takes the time to get to know your business so that we can provide the exact services your business needs to succeed.
Buchanan states, “By partnering with our clients, we are able to contribute to the growth and success of their businesses focusing on their needs for the most current technology in today’s business environment.”
Under Kathlene Buchanan’s leadership, Metro Offices has achieved significant growth and recognition as leading operator of Business Centers in the Washington D.C. area. Buchanan has twice been honored by the National Foundation for Women Business Owners and has been recognized by Bank of America and the Washington Business Journal as one of the Top 25 Women Business Owners in the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
Metro Offices’ next step is to focus on Workplace on Demand and Telework Plus. Workplace on Demand provides a turn-key solution including space, furniture, equipment, phone/Internet and services customized to the client’s needs and delivered on an agreed upon date. There is nothing for the client to do but move in and start working!
Telework Plus is a blended workforce that allows employees to work in the office and any other place, such as their home, through the use of technology and real estate. The new telework bill that has passed the House and Senate states that government agencies will now allow employees “to work remotely for up to 20% of their hours per two week period.”
Telework Plus and Workplace on Demand are the new wave flowing across the traditional work style and Metro Offices is proud and excited to be at the head of this fresh trend.
